Sunset for Two — A Giant Paddle Board Experience

Trade your usual date night for an evening on Lady Bird Lake, where Austin’s skyline, changing skies, and the sounds of the water set the scene for time together.

Your journey begins on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, where you’ll meet your guide and settle onto our giant paddle board. You’ll share one board throughout the experience, paddling together and enjoying a relaxed journey through the heart of Austin.

As we travel beneath historic bridges and alongside the city skyline, your guide will share stories about Austin’s past, the Colorado River, and the wildlife that calls the lake home. There’s also room for quiet moments—to watch a heron along the shoreline, take in the view, or simply enjoy each other’s company.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll find a place to appreciate the evening light across the lake. Buildings catch the last glow of the day, reflections stretch across the water, and the city takes on a different rhythm. When seasonal bat activity and conditions allow, we may also watch for Mexican free-tailed bats near the Congress Avenue Bridge. Wildlife sightings and colorful sunsets vary with the season and weather.

Designed for beginners and experienced paddlers alike, this approximately 2.5-hour experience covers roughly 3 miles of flat water. Your guide keeps the pace relaxed throughout the trip, though wind and weather may make parts of the paddle more physically demanding.

Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, planning a thoughtful surprise, or making time for an ordinary evening together, this tour offers a memorable way to experience Austin side by side.

• Beginner friendly and suitable for most experience levels
• Flat-water paddling on Lady Bird Lake
• Participants must be comfortable around water
• If something comes up, participants must reschedule 72 hours before the tour’s meeting time. Cancellations less than 72 hours out respectivly and no shows are nonrefundable. 
• This paddle board is a giant 15' x 5' paddle board that you will be on with your guide. Participants will paddle the first half, and enjoy a ultra quite electic motor ride back during the second half. Individual paddle boards are not available
• Private tours are available

What to Bring

• Swimsuit or quick-dry clothing. Your butt and feet will get wet for sure.
• Change of clothes and towel to leave in the lockers
• Water-friendly footwear
• Sunscreen / bugspray 
• Dry bag or waterproof phone bag.
