Austin Water Tours
Sunset Bat Watching Kayak Tour on Lady Bird Lake
Paddle through downtown Austin as the sun sets over Lady Bird Lake. Your guide will share the history of the waterway and the lives of its Mexican free-tailed bats before the group gathers near Congress Avenue Bridge to watch for their evening emergence.
The guided tour lasts approximately 2½ hours and covers about three miles round trip. Beginners are welcome. Kayaks, life jackets, water, storage lockers, and one group photo per booking party are included. Bat sightings and emergence times depend on the season and conditions.

Birding and Sunset Tours · Coming Soon
We’re developing guided birding and sunset experiences on Austin’s waterways. These small-group outings will offer more time to observe the lake, learn about its wildlife, and see the city from a different perspective. Dates will be announced when the tours are ready to book.

The water is where we’re beginning, but there’s more of Texas to explore. Our camping expeditions bring together guided activities, outdoor learning, shared meals, and time to take in each landscape.
Enchanted Rock Camping Expedition · Spring 2027
We’re rescheduling our hosted Enchanted Rock weekend for spring. The planned trip includes guided hikes, outdoor cooking, a meditation walk, stargazing, and time together at camp. We’ll announce the new date and booking details once arrangements are confirmed.
Big Bend Expedition · 2027
From the Chisos Mountains to the desert and river, Big Bend holds an extraordinary range of Texas landscapes. We’re planning a guided trip focused on the park’s wildlife, geology, and night skies. Dates and the full itinerary are coming soon.
